Jet2’s First All-Business-Class Aircraft Enters Service From Liverpool

Jet2 has taken another step into the premium charter market, with its first aircraft configured entirely for business-class passengers now having operated its first flights.
The Boeing 737-800NG has been reconfigured from its standard 189-seat layout to accommodate just 76 passengers, offering a more spacious cabin for customers booking private group charters.
Based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the aircraft has been introduced by Jet2’s charter division in response to demand from customers seeking a more premium travel experience.
The aircraft has already flown its first charter customers and is available for further bookings throughout the winter season.
Unlike Jet2’s regular leisure flights, which primarily cater for holidaymakers travelling to destinations across Europe and beyond, the new configuration is aimed at specialist groups looking for additional space, privacy and flexibility.
These include sports teams, music and entertainment groups, and other organisations requiring charter flights tailored to their needs.
With a minimum of 43 inches of legroom throughout the cabin, the aircraft offers considerably more personal space than a standard economy configuration. Customers will also benefit from upgraded catering that can be tailored to individual requirements.

Jet2 said the new product marks the first time it has configured an aircraft specifically with a dedicated business-class layout.
The development builds on the airline’s existing charter operation, allowing it to offer a different product alongside its established scheduled leisure services and package holiday business.
For Liverpool John Lennon Airport, the aircraft’s base adds another dimension to Jet2’s operation at the airport, extending beyond its regular leisure network.
The aircraft is supported by Jet2’s charter team and the airline’s dedicated operational team, which provides round-the-clock support for charter customers.
Trevor Caplis, Jet2’s Head of Charter and Airline Sales, said the aircraft represented an exciting development for the company and its charter customers, with early feedback highlighting the comfort, space and premium feel of the cabin.

The move comes as airlines and charter operators continue to serve customers looking for more tailored travel options, particularly for group movements where privacy, flexibility and onboard comfort can be important considerations.
Jet2’s new aircraft gives the company an additional option for customers who want a business-class environment without chartering a larger long-haul aircraft.
With the aircraft now in operation and further bookings available for the winter season, Jet2 is looking to build on its established charter business with a more premium offering.
