Wizz Air carries 7.6 million passengers in October as traffic grows 20%

Wizz Air carried more than 7.6 million passengers during October, recording a 19.8% increase compared with the same month last year as the airline continued to expand its network.
The figures, published on Tuesday 3 November, show that the airline carried 7,624,319 passengers across its network during the month, compared with 6,362,498 in October 2025.
Capacity also increased, with the number of available seats rising by 22.1% to more than 8.36 million. The airline reported a load factor of 91.2%, down 1.7 percentage points year-on-year.
Over the 12 months to the end of October, Wizz Air carried 80.6 million passengers, representing growth of 19.6%.
The latest figures come as the airline continues to develop its UK network, including its operation at London Luton Airport.
During October, Wizz Air launched three new routes from Luton to Málaga, Granada and Asturias, also known as Oviedo. The services are scheduled to operate year-round, taking the airline’s Spanish destinations from the airport to ten.
The additions provide passengers with further options for travelling to Spain, alongside Wizz Air’s existing network from the airport.
Elsewhere, the airline is opening new bases in Madrid and Valencia this week, with three aircraft based across the two locations serving 16 routes.
Wizz Air has also announced temporary additional flying in Spain following the suspension of high-speed rail services between Madrid and Andalusia. Two additional daily return services from Madrid to Málaga and Seville are due to operate between 6 November and 13 December, with fares capped at €99.99.
The airline’s October figures highlight the continued growth of its operation, although the increase in available capacity was greater than the rise in passenger numbers, resulting in a lower load factor compared with the previous year.
Wizz Air is due to publish its half-year financial results on 12 November, which will provide a further update on its performance and outlook for the remainder of the financial year.
