easyJet UK Flights Could Face Disruption as France Cabin Crew Confirm Strike

easyJet passengers travelling between the UK and France could face disruption this weekend after cabin crew based in France confirmed strike action for 15 and 16 August.

The walkout follows an earlier strike notice filed by unions representing easyJet’s French cabin crew, with the dispute centred on working conditions. Talks between unions and the airline have so far failed to reach an agreement.

The strike will affect easyJet cabin crew based in France, meaning some services operating to and from French airports could be disrupted.

For UK passengers, flights linking Britain with destinations including Paris, Nice, Lyon, Bordeaux and Toulouse could potentially be affected, although easyJet has not announced a widespread programme of UK cancellations at this stage.

easyJet said it had put forward measures to address concerns raised by staff and has called on unions to withdraw the strike. Further talks are expected to take place in September.

The action comes during one of the busiest periods of the summer season, with large numbers of passengers travelling between the UK and France.
