British Airways Expands BA Euroflyer Network With New London Gatwick–Rovaniemi Route

British Airways is continuing to expand its BA Euroflyer operation at London Gatwick, with the airline confirming a new seasonal route to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland for Winter 2026.

The new service will operate twice weekly between 4 December 2026 and 4 January 2027, targeting the peak Christmas travel period when demand for Lapland holidays is at its highest. Flights are scheduled to operate on Mondays and Fridays, giving passengers additional flexibility for festive breaks.

The outbound schedule will see BA2862 depart London Gatwick at 08:25 on Mondays and 08:30 on Fridays, arriving into Rovaniemi at 14:00 and 14:05 respectively.

Return service BA2863 will leave Rovaniemi at 14:50 on Mondays and 14:55 on Fridays, arriving back at Gatwick at 16:30 and 16:35.

The launch also represents an expansion of British Airways’ Lapland network. Rovaniemi becomes the second Finnish Lapland destination served by BA Euroflyer from Gatwick, complementing the airline’s existing Ivalo service and offering customers a wider choice of winter holiday destinations.

Located on the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi is recognised as the official hometown of Santa Claus and remains one of Europe’s most popular winter destinations, attracting visitors seeking festive experiences, Arctic activities and opportunities to witness the Northern Lights.

The addition further strengthens British Airways’ winter leisure programme from Gatwick as BA Euroflyer continues to grow its short-haul network from the airport
