Jet2 announces biggest-ever Winter programme with 34 new routes

Jet2 has announced its biggest-ever winter programme, adding 34 brand-new routes across its UK airport bases for Winter 2026/27.
The expansion will see the airline put 6.3 million seats on sale to 42 destinations, more than half a million additional seats compared with Winter 2025/26.
Overall winter capacity will increase by 8.7%, as Jet2 responds to demand for winter sun, city breaks, Christmas markets and ski holidays.
Jet2 returns to Egypt
One of the biggest changes for Winter 2026/27 is the return of Egypt to the Jet2 network.
The airline will launch new services to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, marking its return to Egypt after 15 years.
Both destinations will be available from several UK airports, giving customers more options for winter sun.
New Egypt routes will operate from Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick, Manchester and London Stansted, while Glasgow will also receive a new Hurghada service.
Strasbourg joins the network
Jet2 is also introducing Strasbourg as a brand-new destination for Winter 2026/27.
Flights to the French city will operate from Edinburgh, Manchester and London Stansted.
The new routes are aimed at both city-break passengers and travellers looking to visit Strasbourg’s famous Christmas markets during the winter season.

Gatwick enters its first full winter season
The expansion is particularly significant for London Gatwick, which will enter its first full winter season with Jet2.
The airline is adding 13 new routes from Gatwick, giving passengers across London and the South of England access to a much wider range of winter destinations.
The new Gatwick routes cover winter sun, European city breaks, Christmas markets and ski destinations.
Among the additions are Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, alongside destinations including Vienna, Cologne, Gdańsk, Tallinn, Funchal, Agadir and several Alpine ski gateways.
More winter sun, city breaks and ski flights
Jet2’s expansion is not focused on one type of holiday.
The airline is adding more winter sun options through Egypt, Morocco, La Palma and Madeira, while its city-break network will grow with destinations including Copenhagen, Gdańsk, Vienna, Cologne and Tallinn.
Ski passengers will also see additional options, with new services to Grenoble, Turin, Geneva, Salzburg, Innsbruck and Chambéry.
Jet2 says it has also increased capacity on a number of existing winter routes, including destinations such as Agadir, Cyprus, Malta and Porto.
6.3 million seats for Winter 2026/27
The 34 new routes, combined with additional flying on existing services, will take Jet2’s Winter 2026/27 programme to 6.3 million seats across 42 destinations.
That represents more than 500,000 additional seats compared with the previous winter and an 8.7% increase in capacity.
Jet2 says the programme has been developed in response to continued demand from customers and independent travel agents for a wider range of winter holidays.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said the airline was seeing strong demand across winter sun, Christmas markets, ski holidays and city breaks.
He added that the combination of 34 new routes, three new destinations and Jet2’s first winter season from Gatwick represents a significant expansion of the airline’s winter offering.
With new routes from nine UK airports, a return to Egypt and the first full winter season at Gatwick, Jet2’s Winter 2026/27 programme represents its largest winter expansion to date.
