Discover Airlines Announces New Glasgow, Bristol and Inverness Routes
Discover Airlines is expanding its UK network for Summer 2027, with four new routes connecting Glasgow, Bristol and Inverness with Germany.
The Lufthansa Group carrier has put new services to Frankfurt and Munich on sale, with Glasgow receiving the largest expansion with two new routes.
Flights between Frankfurt and Glasgow will begin on 29 March 2027, operating six times per week from Monday to Saturday.
A second Glasgow route will follow on 16 May 2027, when Discover Airlines launches flights to Munich.
The Munich service will initially operate once weekly on Sundays before increasing to twice weekly from 1 July 2027, with an additional Thursday flight.
At the peak of the summer schedule, Discover Airlines will therefore operate eight flights per week from Glasgow, including six to Frankfurt and two to Munich.
The expansion will also see Discover Airlines arrive at both Bristol and Inverness.
A new Frankfurt–Bristol service will begin on 17 May 2027, operating twice weekly.
Further north, Discover Airlines will launch flights between Frankfurt and Inverness from 19 June 2027, operating once per week.
The new routes provide additional direct links between the UK and Germany, while Frankfurt and Munich also offer opportunities for onward connections across the wider Lufthansa Group network.
Discover Airlines is part of the Lufthansa Group and operates leisure-focused short, medium and long-haul services from its bases in Frankfurt and Munich.
The Summer 2027 expansion will give Discover Airlines a considerably larger presence across the UK, with Scotland particularly benefiting from the new programme.
Glasgow will have access to both Frankfurt and Munich, while Inverness gains a direct Frankfurt connection during the summer season. Bristol will also gain a new link to Germany’s largest aviation hub.
The four new routes are now on sale:
Frankfurt – Glasgow: From 29 March 2027 | 6x weekly
Munich – Glasgow: From 16 May 2027 | 1x weekly, increasing to 2x weekly from 1 July
Frankfurt – Bristol: From 17 May 2027 | 2x weekly
Frankfurt – Inverness: From 19 June 2027 | 1x weekly
Flights are available to book for Summer 2027.
