Air India is making a multitude of aircraft changes on UK routes this Summer!
Air India will fly its refurbished Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners from Delhi to the London Heathrow starting April 2026.
This aircraft change will see the introduction of Premium Economy & the cabin offering improved, with 205 economy (down 33 from their current offering), 25 Premium Economy and 20 Business class seats (up 2).
Later in July, the airline will also deploy the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner from Mumbai, alongside the new Boeing 787-9s (linefit), which will start services on the route from the same date.
Following this, in August Bengaluru will see the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, which is the only route from Heathrow that currently doesn't see Air Indias new on board product.

Due to these changes at London Heathrow 2 Boeing 777s will be freed up and see deployment to London Gatwick and Birmingham Airport from August 2026.
This marks a significant capacity increase from 256 seats per flight on the B787 to 328 seats on the B777.
These routes also see the introduction of First Class.
The Boeing 777s will run up to the end of Summer 2026.
